Oh, the Hair

As I was feeding Olivia her rice cereal the other day, I snapped a few shots of her hair. Just so we all understand how bad it really is.

New Shoes

I couldn't resist these little shoes for Liv on clearance at Target. I have a soft spot for polka dots.

She wore them out to breakfast and errands on Saturday morning. So cute!

Jumper Fun

Olivia really enjoys playing in her jumper lately.

Look at those little feet. On the lowest setting, her feet *just* touch the floor.

I was trying to get a video of her playing, but Ben sort of takes over...

Pool Time

We had some great weather this past weekend, so Sunday we headed over to Nana and Papa's for some fun at the pool.

Ben was leery of the pool at first, a far cry from his antics last summer. But after a few minutes, he got in the water and then once he got on his new boat (great suggestion Mom, thanks), he was one happy camper.

Olivia went in the pool for the first time too. She seemed quite content.

Ben continued to drive the boat around, squirting everyone and having a heck of a time.

Finally Ben decided to try "swimming." Big fun. We couldn't get him out of the water after that.

Rice Cereal

At Olivia's four month well visit, her doctor said to go ahead and start her on the rice cereal and that we can go ahead and move to jars as soon as she's got the hang of eating. I think it will be a while...

Here she is ready to give it a go.

 First bite!

Not a fan. Not that she'd really know. She never did swallow a bite.

Daddy gave it a try. Still no dice.

But she did manage to knock both the bowl and the spoon off her tray. I guess she was done.

Here's a quick video of her efforts.

It brought back memories of Ben's first attempt. His doctor back then told us to wait until 5 months, so he is a little older. But the results were about the same.

We keep trying, but still no luck. Tonight she didn't swallow any, but she was certainly interested in the spoon.

What a mess!
